Performing solo guitar for Colliers International

Today I’ll be performing solo guitar at the Cielo Building for an outdoor patio event for Colliers International.

So far this has been a very interesting gig. I began by parking in the Cielo Building underground parking and met with the concierge to get a parking pass and a access key. I would be playing today on the patio on the 31st floor.

Wow! What a spectacular of Stanley Park, Vancouver Harbour and the downtown core.

My performance was to begin at 7pm until 9pm. However I began at 6:45 as I was ready to go and some of the guest had arrived early.

I took a break at 8pm and was offered dinner. We had a very curious visitor (the sea gull shown in the photo) hanging out with us on the 31st floor patio. Also I was fortunate enough to have to use the washroom in the gym. Check out the photos! Could you imagine working out here everyday? Again… What an amazing place and view!!!! After a quick bite it was time to get back to my guitar.

At 9pm it was time to pack up and head home. One crazy thing about being outside, up 31 floors leaning on the railing you get that creepy feeling in your legs from the height.

It’s so weird that it bothers me as I have a pilots license, have flown aerobatics in small single engine planes, flown hang gliders and ultra lights. I guess not being strapped into something makes you weak in the knees.

Anyways… Tune in next week as I head back into downtown Vancouver to play on the 34th floor of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. (For real) I must be moving up in the world.
