Once again I’m off to beautiful Whistler Mountain to perform with Gabriel Mark Hasselbach’s Zen Soundscapes at the Squamish Lilwat Cultural Centre.
This time I’ll be meeting Gabriel at his Burnaby studio to drive up in his convertible BMW. Should be a wonderful day for one of the most scenic drives in the world!
Tonight I performed with Diane Lines. Diane is a great keyboard player as well as a wonderful vocalist. Along with Gabriel is Tony Chamberlin on percussion.
Once again the gig entails us creating changes / songs and cool zen grooves on the fly. (No charts!) It’s very interesting as you never know what’s going to happen.
As always the gig was great! A lot of cool, magical music moments. After the gig it was time to hop back into Gabriels beamer and drive the 2 hour trip back down the mountain.
