Performing solo fiery Rumba Flamenco guitar at Iris, West Vancouver

Today I’m back performing for Iris Optical. This time it’s in West Vancouver.

As you may or may not know, Iris plays my music at their branches across Canada. They also performed my laser eye surgery last April. It’s always such a pleasure working with this wonderful company.

So for today’s event I’ll be performing solo guitar from 6 pm to 8 pm. It’s a short gig for me in a small venue. For this gig I’ll use a couple of small speakers.

Join me again behind the scenes…

Stay tuned…

Playing solo Italian guitar music in Kamloops, BC

Everyone kept giving me drink tickets at my gig!

Yes, I’m off to Kamloops to play Italian music for a corporate event!

Kamloops is a 3.5 hour drive North East from my home in Langley. I arrived in Kamloops and will be staying in a very cool hotel. Built in 1928 and I swear it has the worlds smallest Ottis elevator!

I’ll relax for a couple of minutes then it’s off to the Cassino for the Italian gig.

The performance went very well. I started a little earlier than originally planned and ended a few minutes earlier.

Then I was invited to enjoy a wonderful Italian dish!

Here it is, the behind the scenes video of my trip to Kamloops to play for a client appreciation Italian dinner music gig…

Now it’s time to prepare for tonight’s concert at the newly renovated Kamloops Playhouse Theatre.

Guitar Slinger – In the pre production studio.

In this post I’d like to take you into my little pre production studio to give you an idea of the process I use to create recorded music.

Before I spend a lot of money in the recording studio to produce a new cd I spend most of my time recording in my home studio!

Join me in my pre production studio as I take you behind the scenes to see what it’s all about.

For this video I’ll be creating a jam track for my “YourGuitarSchool.com” students to practice playing their D major scales.

Learn to play Djobi Djoba by the Gypsy Kings on your guitar

Here is a great Gipsy King song for you to learn and jam on.

The chart on your left is the actual Fake Book chart that I use when performing the music in my band and the tab on the right is the chords, scales and melody for you to learn.

Djobi Djoba is in the key of F major.
