Here’s a Youtube demo I created for those of you that would like to see how I use the Roland Boss RC300 Loop Station.

None of the tracks have been pre-recorded and the title of this neuvo flamenco rumba is Nachos

Here’s my RC300 settings for this tune…

Memory:

Overdub Mode = Replace
Single Track Play = On

Track Settings:

Track 1: Stop Mode = Loop End, Loop Sync = on, Tempo Sync = on

Tracks 2 & 3: Stop Mode = Loop End, Loop Sync = off, Tempo Sync = off

External Device is a Boss GE7 pedal for a guitar volume boost

Guitar duo performing at the Hotel Vancouver

Last friday night I performed as a guitar duo at the Hotel Vancouver. Would you like to know what it was like??

This event was a private engagement for the hotel chef that was retiring after his twenty-five years of service at this wonderful establishment.

Our job was to provide live background music and what made this event special was that the client asked that we play music to fit a French theme!

Fortunately playing rumba flamenco tunes by the Gipsy Kings made perfect sense as the band is based in France. Also this event allowed me to dust off all my Django Reinhardt charts. Plus a few other French titles I added to the mix such as La vie en Rose.

Performing solo fiery Rumba Flamenco guitar at Iris, West Vancouver

Today I’m back performing for Iris Optical. This time it’s in West Vancouver.

As you may or may not know, Iris plays my music at their branches across Canada. They also performed my laser eye surgery last April. It’s always such a pleasure working with this wonderful company.

So for today’s event I’ll be performing solo guitar from 6 pm to 8 pm. It’s a short gig for me in a small venue. For this gig I’ll use a couple of small speakers.
