Today I’m back performing for Iris Optical. This time it’s in West Vancouver.
As you may or may not know, Iris plays my music at their branches across Canada. They also performed my laser eye surgery last April. It’s always such a pleasure working with this wonderful company.
So for today’s event I’ll be performing solo guitar from 6 pm to 8 pm. It’s a short gig for me in a small venue. For this gig I’ll use a couple of small speakers.

Yikes! I’m having such a hard time keeping up with all the current events!!!
Here’s the latest Episode of Guitar Slinger. This video is my performance at the almost newly renovated Kamloops Playhouse Theatre.
What I mean by “almost” is that the theatre wasn’t quite finish when we arrived at 5 pm the setup for our performance that evening.
The venue had a concrete floor full of dust that was being mopped as we arrived. All the chairs needed to be set up. (and dusted) There was no sound system, no theatre lighting, etc… however, this was a great little room and we had such a wonderful time playing here.

Today I’m off to Iris in Yaletown, Vancouver to play solo rumba flamenco guitar.
It’s a 6pm start and I’ll be performing until 8pm. I’ll load up my sound system and be on the road at 3:30pm.
These gigs are great. Solo guitar, easy set up, small sound system for a small venue. 2 hours is also a nice performance length.

Yes, it’s been awhile since my last behind the scenes gig video! August has been a slow month for live guitar performances. I really don’t mind it to much as I had kept busy with house reno’s. (Yuck!) However the old place sure looks great.
Anyways, on to the gig…
Today I was Playing solo guitar for the Fraser Valley Regional Library employee recognition celebration.
The venue was the Ramada Hotel and Convention Centre in Abbotsford, BC.
This was a great gig in a nice sounding room with a wonderful audience. The event was corporate so I performed solo guitar background music from 6 pm to 8 pm. Then I performed a couple of pieces center stage for the group.
Once I was done I stayed until the event was over to strike my gear and head home.
